2. Management and finance: introduction

Volunteers may have skills they can contribute to the resource centreThis section looks at how resource centres are staffed and the qualities needed by a Resource Centre Officer.

Advisory committees act to ensure users of the resource centre have their needs met and ways to establish and run an advisory committee. This section provides some examples of the responsibilities of a resource centre advisory committee.

This section also looks at financial planning, including identifying financial needs, bugeting and identifying sources of income, such as fundraising. It offers guidance on applying for grants
